Will my child academically fall behind?
The beauty of teaching your child one on one is there’s very little chance of your little one ‘slipping through the gaps’. Mainstream classrooms usually have approx 1:26+ children ratio which is extremely difficult for educators to ensure every child is achieving all outcomes. As a homeschooling parent/carer you have control on:
  • how your little one learns – through the choice of learning styles that best suits them.
  • when your little ones learns – through flexible timetabling.
  • what your little ones learns – through the choice of many learning experiences.

You’ll become very in-tuned with your little ones needs and will know if your child is meeting/exceeding particular outcomes, requires repetition of certain concepts and/or additional support.

You as their parent/carer are their biggest and best teacher. Trust Yourself

Does your program align with a curriculum?

Yes. Our programs align with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) and apply to all states and territories in Australia.

Do I have to be a teacher to home school?

No way! That’s what makes our program unique- our programs are MADE for parents and carers. They’re easy, adaptable, and flexible to your lifestyle and your child’s learning. We’ve done the hard work for you. We provide Explicit Teaching, prompts and support in order for you to faciliate your little ones learning with ease.

Can I take my kids out of mainstream schooling?

A simple answer- yes. If you’re thinking short term (a term off or less for a family trip) discuss your intentions with your school principal, apply for a travel exemption and hit the road. If you’re thinking long term (a year+) again discuss your intentions with your school principal and apply for Home Schooling within your state.

If I choose to take a family trip outside of the school holidays, can’t I just get schoolwork for my child from the school instead?

Yes you can, however, you must be mindful that the work you’d be getting from a school will be just that- from a school taught by teachers which has been programmed for face to face learning and whole class activities. It will not be adaptable to your travel plans and may require wifi and additional resources that may not be at your disposal. It is also unlikely the school will provide a specific program for your child. Also, your child may miss out on new concepts that are being covered whilst you’re away, as teachers are hesitant to provide work around new concepts without some form of explicit teaching first.

Do I need to teach my child 9am-3pm, 5 days a week?

Most definitely not. We have gathered all the policies across Australia which outlines the ‘required’ learning hours for each learning area over the course of a week. From here, we have created timetables to suit your lifestyle. You can choose to work with your little ones 3, 4 or 5 days a week with up to 4 hours (max) a day. You are also given the option to create your own timetable to suit your lifestyle and when your little one learns best. You choose!

Do I need a lot of equipment to run your program?

No. We pride ourselves in creating ‘meaningful learning experiences with simple surroundings’. Our aim is to give families the flexibility and ease to run with our program with no hassle. In saying this, we do cater for a range of families and provide options with 80% hands on with little to no equipment required and 20% for scrapbook, art & craft and technology.

My child doesn’t learn the same as others, how do you cater for this?

We completely understand that there are many ways a child learns and there’s no such thing as ‘one size fits all’. Our programs cater for many learning styles to ensure your little one is happy and engaged in their learning journey.

Learning to the Rhythm – For the little ones who love learning through music and dance.

Learning All Around Us – For the little ones who love to investigate their surroundings and enjoys a great chat with a loved one.

Learning with Paper – For the little ones who love showcasing their work through writing and craft.

Learning in Nature – For the little ones who love being grounded in nature and sharing their learnings  and experiences with a loved one.

Any chance we can meet local families through your program?

Yes, our private community forum will be a perfect place to meet up and chat with other families and share your home schooling experience.
