About Us
Hi, I’m Catrina, the founder of Little Minds Blooming. My professional background is a highly experienced Educator and my personal background is a mother of two special humans, a wife to a kind soul husband and a lover of nature and in awe of it’s incredible impact it has on our mental and physical wellbeing.
I have over 13 years experience in teaching and leading in schools and have taught multiple age groups across many beautiful places including Western Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales and Japan. Each of these wonderful places hold a special place in my heart, from the people I met, the incredible cultures I experienced and the many opportunities to positively influence young minds around the world.
I met my husband whilst teaching and immediately realised that we hold the same values when it comes to education, and that is to create meaningful learning experiences which encourage children to be creative, confident, and open-minded beings and empower them to embark on a future that they truly deserve and desire. We built our relationship on our love for teaching, nature and the outdoors, the learning of new cultures throughout our travels and the thrill of stepping outside of our comfort zone and experiencing the unknown.
In recent years, we have been fortunate enough to create a family unit with two beautiful children who have enriched our lives with so much happiness, laughter and many, MANY life lessons. Our little one’s have truly altered our course in what we hold dear and cherish in life and that’s when Little Minds Blooming was born.
Our Why
We want children to thrive and be blissfully happy in their learning environment where ever that may be. We want to provide families with choice around their little one’s learning journey especially in times when they feel all else has failed. We want families to to take the ‘plunge’ and go travelling without the stress. We aspire for us all to get back to the basics of building memories, connections and experiences with our little one’s because it’s just too important to put ‘on hold’. Whether you choose to pursue homeschooling full-time, part-time or whilst you’re on the road travelling and experiencing the world, we want to provide you with a Program that truly nurtures your little one’s love for learning learning and your connected family unit.
So, what do we create? We create…
~ A lifestyle for families filled with more flexibility, balance and connection.
~ An opportunity for children to access an education that enables them to thrive.
~ An education that is flexible and fluid for children to learn anywhere.
~ Rich and meaningful learning experiences that truly encapsulate the foundation of learning.
~ A program that empowers families to facilitate their little one’s learning with confidence.
~ Ease in knowing that your little one is learning what is needed in line with the Australian Curriculum (and ease in knowing that we have used our experience and knowledge to ‘strip’ the curriculum and create meaningful learning experience that we know are essential)

Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Awabakal people as the traditional owners and custodians of this land upon which we work. We offer our deepest gratitude to the Awabakal elders past, present and future for being guardians of the earth and all that grows, walks and crawls on it; of the seas, streams and rivers and all that swim in them; of the air and all that flies and soars in it; and of all living things.
We thank them for sharing their dreaming stories and maintaining their spiritual connections and traditions. In doing so they continue to enrich all our lives. We acknowledge and respect that this Land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
